With all the changes that take place within the game, discussions have taken place on how best to reflect this on the forum and make it easy for members to navigate.

The idea being discussed would look something like this:

Airport City Game
- Airport City News
- Airport City Guides
- Airport City Bugs, Glitches & Errors
- Airport City Feature Requests & Suggestions
- Airport City Chat
- Airport City General Questions

- Android & iOS
- Windows
- Building Upgrades

What about Amazon and Facebook - I know they don't have much activity but should you keep them?

What about the Lounge section - I think you should keep the Off-topic and New Members section.

Combine Windows and iOS but I also liked the idea of having 2 trading threads:
  • Monthly - one post, signature updates with your needs (this could be yearly but monthly would cycle out players who have moved on).
  • Daily - for trading chat, etc.

Just to make sure the threads do not get to big and out of hand.
as posts that have nothing to do with the original post are showing up in many threads.

No one wants to read multiple pages of requests to find out what neighbors on your list need.

But daily, since in tenth of posts will be hard to find the needed info

Everybody has good suggestions but lets start slowly and work our way up to it one step at a time.

Currently we are proposing a major change in the forum as people adjust we can make minor changes should a one or more daily or weekly threads.

How would people feel if instead of having one daily thread, we split it down to what people were looking for.

An example would be:

Airport City Trading
- Airport Buildings
- - Airline Alliance HQ*
- - Airship Dock*
- - Baggage Hall (Level 1)*
- - Baggage Hall (Level 2)*
etc etc etc etc

- Airport City Events
- - Easter Quest*
- - Christmas Quest*
etc etc

The * represents a thread in that forum where members can post which items they need to complete that building/event etc.

Please feel free to throw in your comments,ideas and suggestions so we can take them into consideration while working on the next phase.

That might get a bit too cluttered I think.
Maybe something like this, combine android, ios and Windows and make 3 sub categories
Trading
1 general trade (new daily thread) to post our normal signature needs
2 special buildings (weekly thread) for any building needs, as items disappear after upgrades this shouldn't fill up too fast
3 event (per event thread)

I also vote to combine ios android windows launch forums into 1 as anyone can join and quite a few of them already gets posted in both places anyway it would make life easier.

In day we could get 60-70 posts over 10 pages. would you like to read those many pages for a few neighbor posts ?

I would like to ask if possible to add option or list for the members has achieved more than 350 stars and they have banners, like:
Page for champion put their names in a list starting from high to low 900 to 150 stars or add option by sorted.
Its good benefit that the forum have a lot of those big players and easy for the visitors to find out that page and also Incentive for others players.

My guess they were planning the split between android/ios and windows trade threads because
of we tend to babble quite a bit in the windows thread. I recall they used to try and keep us on track
but I assume they have given up on that task. :ROFLMAO:

Just a few numbers to ponder in the last 10 windows weekly threads the posts have averaged 230 posts
or 32 per day. The android/ios last ten daily threads have averaged just 12.4 posts per day. Perhaps everyone
should ponder heavily if they want that daily thread to multiply x4 per day.

I know when the cross platform trading was enabled several from the daily thread posted in the windows thread.
They then quit and even stated they could not keep up with the number of posts. They just wanted to see trade info
and were quite annoyed IMO with our babbling on in the windows thread. I personally like the idea posted in the OP
to keep them separate. Otherwise either quite a few people will have to either get used to many irrelevant posts or
quite a few players have to change the way they interact on the forum. If they are combined one of those things will
have to happen.

I actually quite like the way you guys have already structured it. When I started playing, I was on the GI forums and my head exploded trying to find anything relevant that I needed. Now I know exactly where to go to find what I want, all posts are cross referenced and linked to posters. You have systems in place to dump/archive old redundant stuff. It works well. Tweaks like individual threads for different buildings have been popular and could be expanded upon, maybe reducing the major thread titles and branching more sub threads underneath? Of the forums I have used, this one is one of the better ones. Not a lot of people post in the wrong place. Maybe when a new member signs up, the intro process is a quick bullet point guide they should scroll through before gaining full access?

One other consideration is to add a few more macros to the signatures? We all know the main things we like to list and mention. The use of spoilers (use specific titles?) , I find, is awesome. It's seems pointless having to scroll down the equivalent of four pages of text when someone has posted a one word response (a bug bear of mine in many forums, especially those with giant banners/avatars attached to members).

I see what you are saying about getting alot of posts in the thread for sure and I can understand why some might not like it. However I still think having to read 1 longer thread is still easier then reading 2 different threads as you would currently have to do if you want to see everyone's needs. and one of those are already long so... and making it a daily thread for all instead of a daily plus a weekly it shouldn't get too large I think.

My main point is I don't see a reason why the forum is split in different parts when there is no longer any differences in the game. We all trade and launch with each other, why make us read in 2 different places to get all info? I certainly understand it used to make sense when there was different lists and no real trading between platforms but that don't seem to be the case anymore. the Game merged the platforms and it would make sense for the forum to follow.

And if the main reason to split it is windows people talk too much and people don't like the long threads I think it would be better to make stricter rules on what can be posted in trading and then make a chit-chat thread instead for the rest. I mean ios/android part can hold down the size of the treads, Windows people can certainly learn too then? :D

Any way, I'm happy with what ever road you decide to take I'm just tossing out ideas :)
