Did you open a ticket to GI? They will help you to restore your previous game! It is worth it, all your progress will be back.

After reading about another crash I was wondering exactly what you mean.
Did it reset you to level 1 perhaps? If that is the case have you ever noticed
what you are doing at the specific time it happens? If the crash is resetting
you might be able to figure what triggers it. About a year or so ago my game
reset to level 1 several times a week sometimes per day. I figured out that it
occurred when I visited neighbors I had the habit of returning to my city after
each neighbor and continuing on. My game always did these resets when I
would return to my city, it would blink as is normal then bam back to level 1
with the tutorial. I simply quit ever hitting the button to return to my city from a
neighbor. I just visit each neighbor until my limit is reached then go to Madlens
city then push alt + F4 to close game, then I restart which has completely ended my issue.
Apologies if none of this is relevant to your issue thought I would ask and share just in case.
