I was reading random posts here and discovered that there is no guide about how the alliance works. To tell you the truth, I also would like to know how this aspect of the game work, so if you are kind enough, please shed some light and guide us.
How does an alliance work?
How many members does it have?
Minimum requirements if any?
What planes do we need?
What flights do we fly?
What are the alliance flights tab in the game?
Whatever you think is important to mention.

Thank you in advance.

Seems like to break into the top 100, an alliance needs 300k/week.

I don't see anything in the GI game info that implies anything is awarded to an alliance if they are not in the top 100. Is your information based on experience?

I am not getting a useful point. I seem to be lucky to get 20k/week, so I am not seeing any hope of awards from my experience.

This would imply that I would have to search for a more productive, yet still tolerant alliance.

Any useful thoughts, or would you prefer to enjoy my continuing confusion? :)
Experience. I've been in 2 alliances and we were ggetting 1 point (plus a free repair chest which is nice) per week for scoring between 150 and 199. That's why I consider making it to top200 (maybe it's even 300) as minimum requirement.
I implied you should reach the necessary performance before looking for an alliance to join.
Finish the smaller planes flights and then you'll be doing 20-30k passengers effortlessly. Eg it's only Thursday and I already did 23k - by just flying 10 deltas. And I wasted LOTS of time before I switched to deltas because I was focused on ranking. If you're doing just the "3 stars and move on" you can get there much faster. You almost have lvl7 tower, that's 9 planes.

Do what you feel comfortable doing, @jimstreet . Don't rush things. You have made the wisest decision on Airport City already, and that's joining the forum! Using the forum I went from lvl36 and turboprops to lvl 60 and deltas and beyond in a few months time. (y) Only to realize lvl 60 actually means nothing :p...

You first need to scope out if their goals, the way they play and their expectations meet yours. Try to converse with them before making a decision. I have received alliance invites and tried to get in some but after conversation I realised I wasn't a good fit.

The alliance I fly for has become a sure fire top 150 alliance, receiving a point each week and growing steadily towards a new member slot. All flyers are casual, no pressure players. We'll get inside that top 100 eventually as we're all growing by the week...

If you're desperate to burn fuel and passengers to get those extra flights in, do it for the right reasons. You can use them for a late push when vying for the top spot in the weekly world ranking for a destination. Those reward chests give easier access to tokens, a more valuable commodity for 'newer' players (including myself) then alliance maps...

But hey, it's your game. Play it as you feel it! ;)

uhhh.... I haven't grown much recently. It is like I have been the slacker all along and was oblivious. :bawling:

This guide is missing a couple somewhat important tidbits of information. Such as the rep points earned.
AT some point it must be possible to earn more than 1rep point per week or there would be no level 7 alliances
for a couple more years. Also gaining new members when and how many? As again if only gaining one per level
the level 7 alliances would have 10 members not 14. Just some missing info I have never seen mentioned anywhere.

Well, my dear WP, you've grown 10k+ since the start of our little venture, now that you're asking. :D Maybe not the best evolution of the bunch but hey! If we all had your passenger output we'd be top 100, easy. Every. Single. Week! You're still our big dog, erm, big bird!:p

We'll post about those other tidbits when we get there. ;)

alliance lvl - max members:
1 4
2 5
3 6
4 8
5 10
6 12
7 14
8 16

The number of rep points depends on place scored in weekly ranking. It was posted several times here, I couldn't find a complete table so here's an incomplete one:
#1 - 20
#2-4 - 18
#5-10 - 16
#10-20 - 14
#21-50 - ?
#51-100 - ?
#100 -? - 1

I think the 50-100 is quite large improvement over 1pt - it's like 5 points or so.

I'll see what I can do to answer your questions. If anything is incorrect or missing, anyone feel free to correct it or add to it.

How does an alliance work? An alliance is a group of flyers who join as a team. They then continue to do what you normally do with this game, you fly places. All members passenger totals are recorded for a week. When the ratings change on Sunday, that ends / starts a new week. Your basic goal is to fly as many passengers as you can combined for that week.

You are rewarded for your efforts with bonuses, fuel and maps to alliance destinations. These destinations also have collections and things you can get.

How many members does it have? If you start your own, In the beginning, I think you can have 3 or 4 members (including yourself). As your alliance grows, you gain points and after a certain time you can add another alliance member after reaching certain point totals..

Minimum requirements if any? Aside from being alive and having the game downloaded? None. :p

Unless you want to start your own. In which case, you'll need to get an alliance headquarters building. Once you have that, you can create an alliance.

What planes do we need? The same ones you use now. All alliance destinations use the same planes as the normal or adventure flights do. It just depends on your level, and what type of planes you're flying, as well as the rest of your alliance. Obviously, the bigger your planes, the more passengers you can fly.

What flights do we fly? This my friend, depends on the alliance you decide you want to run, or if you join one, what they want. In other words, you can have a casual alliance (Like the one I'm in on both accounts), where you continue to fly as you normally do, advance as fast or as slow as you want, and no one pushes you to fly more.

Or, you can opt for the go for the gold variety (Meaning, that's all you're in it for is the glory and benefits, and nothing else, which means that you fly for the alliance only, and not for your own benefit or at your own pace.)

What are the alliance flights tab in the game? Those are the destinations that alliance maps let you fly to and collect things - See above.

Whatever you think is important to mention. All I can offer is this. If you start your own alliance, decide what type you want it to be, casual or go for the gold.

If you join someone else's alliance, I'd ask them how they look at it, and what they expect of you. Some people will put a certain minimum of passengers when they solicit members, but other won't. Never hurts to ask before accepting an invite, could lead to problems down the road.

Like I've said multiple times before in many other parts of this forum, it's just a game. Yes, some of us (Including myself) have spent real money, but it still doesn't change that fact. We're here to have fun, get along, help each other out, enjoy each others company, share humor, suggestions, tips, etc.

Okay, hope that helps in some small way. It's been a long day and week work wise, so my apologies if some of it doesn't seem to make sense. :D :p

Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
I have ran many flight but passenger carried never increase in this week, how?

Have you installed the latest updates?

Not sure what the problem is. Perhaps you should open a ticket with G!. I know other people have had the same problems before on all platforms, but the remedy escapes me at the moment.
I install this game in google play store with latest version
