Has anyone else done any experiments on flights to lapland?
I was thinking that 'Dice' would be the best just like collecting maps?

If collecting an item is a sub-quest (icon on the left side of the screen), the Spy Glass is the best option. Otherwise you are correct, the Dice is best for getting item drops from a flight.

If i read carefully on the drop list, Christmas Shops from your Neighbor will not drop anything.

Santa's House from your neighbor will drop Faster than the wind collection for your Jet Sleigh
Igloo, Skating Rink, Ice Castle, Ice Sculpture Park will drop Cold Winter collection for Ice Castle/Ice Palace

I also find out that if you get your winter building from Mystery Winter Building than for Skating Rink will not drop anything, so i believe if you visit your neighbor which have Skating Rink come from Mystery Winter Building also will not drop anything.

Christmas shops DO drop presents for flights, no collectables (also from neighbors)
