There's a new destination for Giant planes. It's Excavations: Oceania. A map is required, which will be sold at the Airship Store when it arrives; or you can buy single map for one greenie. The flight takes six hours and requires 50 fuel and 500 passengers with stars at 20/50/100. It drops Map Chest: Oceania (seldom).

Polynesian Triangle Collection requires five items:
Hei-tiki: drops from flights to Samoa (seldom)
Maori Mask: drops from flights to Wellington (seldom)
Jade Amulet: drops from flights to Tahiti (seldom)
Ceremonial Adze: drops from flights to Honolulu (seldom)
Dagger: drops from flights to Funafuti (seldom)

Complete collection to receive Large Bronze Chest
Complete collection six times to receive Moai Statues:

I assume he/she does not know about the trick because I could not find that name as a forum member. So I am in a holding pattern waiting to see. Galedreesy has been aboard my last five or six launches. No hurry.

I could not find him either. I even forgot about that trick. The 2 hour and 23 minute flight just was over about 10 minutes ago. Maybe he will jump on soon. Hope nobody uses to much fuel.

Attached is the updated version of my Collection Stars Excel spreadsheet that includes Excavations: Oceania and the five Polynesian Triangle Collection destinations. I use it to keep track of my progress in earning stars for flying to the map destinations; it's useful because once the map times out, the destination disappears from the list.

I just flew my 100th flight to Excavations: Oceania. I got 22 map drops using either Dice or Sky Captain. I'd say that's about normal. As usual, the breakdown of maps is unequal: 8 Samoa, 5 Funafuti, 4 Tahiti, 3 Honolulu and 2 Wellington.
I've got 35 Excavation flights to go before I start flying Samoa. Will report back. Yes, I did spend greenies on extra Excavations maps.
