What is going on with my game... I fear the worst any day now......

This happened to a few times before. It had todo with crashing or not saving progress during the critical time of resetting. If the game reset and while you are playing it crashed and went back 15 minutes or so as it did not save progress it will not recognize the server reset. Unfortunately, you will need to wait another 24 hours. But keep checking every now and then. What I do is go in return a few gifts then exit the game. It usually forces the game to save. I not iced if I stay on the gifts page returning gifts, the avatars of neighbors start flashing, game crashes and possbly will no auto save. It'll take time but be patient.
